Privacy policy

Effective September 17, 2026

Pipster is a community discussion service operated by Tarik Sucu. Contact [email protected] for privacy requests or questions.

Information we process

We store your account email, name, optional profile information, membership consent, sessions, community activity, content, messages, reports and preferences. Passwords are stored as hashes. Our servers also process IP addresses and technical request information to operate and protect the service.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your account identifier, verified email and basic profile information. We use these to authenticate you and create or link your Pipster account. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or the ability to post for you. Provider tokens stored by Pipster are encrypted. You can revoke access in your Google Account connections settings.

Public and private information

Your profile and published topics, answers and comments are visible to other visitors and may be indexed or shared. Your email is not displayed on your public profile. Messages are restricted to conversation participants; authorized operators may access data to operate the service and investigate reports. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide discussions and messaging, authenticate accounts, deliver service emails, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers. We host application data on our own server. Cloudflare processes network requests for DNS, HTTPS delivery and protection. Google processes sign-in requests when you choose Google. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.

Cookies and storage

Necessary cookies maintain your session and protect sign-in. Browser storage retains preferences and drafts. Clearing it can remove unsent drafts. Pipster does not install advertising cookies.

Your choices and retention

You can edit your profile and preferences, delete your own content, block accounts and request account closure in Settings. Closing an account immediately restricts access; final erasure is handled separately. Contact support to request access, correction, export or erasure of personal information. Information may be retained where needed for security, unresolved reports, legal obligations or recovery backups. Removing your topic does not erase other participants’ replies.

Age and updates

The “I am over 18” checkbox is optional. We store whether you selected it; an unchecked box is not treated as proof of your age and does not block registration. Contact us with age-related or privacy concerns. We will update this page when our data practices change.
